The following is an announcement from Matthew Thompson at LECOM.
LECOM is currently accepting applications for consideration of admission into the Class of 2011. A grand total of 250 new medical students will start classes at the LECOM main campus in Erie, PA in August 2007, making LECOM the largest medical school in the country, bar none (considering both allopathic and osteopathic institutions).
Allow us to remind you that the medical applications process starts at AACOMAS once you’ve completed the AACOMAS app, please remember that you will need to also complete our Supplemental App.
Before you apply, be sure to review our admissions requirements in order to be sure that nothing is left unconsidered/incomplete. LECOM operates on a “rolling” admissions basis, every October through March; therefore, the sooner you send in your application, the sooner you might be called in to interview (and, consequently, the sooner you might be accepted)!
The following is a schedule of On Campus Days for the 2006/2007 school year. These events provide interested potential applicants with the best opportunity to experience LECOM up-close and in-person. An attendee can expect a tour of our facilities, a demonstration of Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine, and the chance to chat with our faculty, staff and current students. If you’re at all interested in possibly attending LECOM in the future (or simply curious about Osteopathic Medicine), you’ll want to make sure that you do not miss out on these opportunities:
Tuesday, September 19th (3:00 PM - 5:30 PM EST)
Saturday, October 28th (10:00 AM - 2:00 PM EST)
Tuesday, November 28th (3:00 PM - 5:30 PM EST)
Tuesday, December 19th (3:00 PM - 5:30 PM EST)
Tuesday, January 23rd (3:00 PM - 5:30 PM EST)
Tuesday, February 20th (3:00 PM - 5:30 PM EST)
Tuesday, March 20th (3:00 PM - 5:30 PM EST)
After you have chosen which On Campus Day that you would like to attend, please RSVP by email only to Elaine Morse at emorse@lecom.edu

Dear Students,
USC’s Somos Hermanos Student Immersion Program (SIP) is offering you (students at all universities) the opportunity to become fluent in Spanish and competent in Latin American culture in order to address the health care disparity that occurs when health care providers do not speak the same language or come from the same culture as their patients. This program is geared towards students who have completed their undergrad education and choose to defer medical school for a year. Please contact us for more information.
