APMS-AED Reminders/Events, Health Related Career Events

If you are interested in RUNNING/WALKING for the Linda Yalem Run, please contact Josh Feuerstein by THIS Friday at JDF10986@roadrunner.com. The first fifteen people to sign up will get $10 off on the $15 registration fee.

Alpha Epsilon Delta (AED – Prehealth Honor Society) -  Linda Yalem Run

AED is specifically looking for students who wish to VOLUNTEER to assist at this event.  Help is needed to encourage the runner/walkers, hand out water, etc. If you are interested in helping as part of AED (freshmen through senior) – you do not need to be a national member),  please email Katie Brewer at kbrewer@buffalo.edu.

AED Meetings

Look for upcoming blog announcements regarding the Thursday, September 20 & Wednesday, October 24 AED general meetings.  The meeting on September 20 will address “What is AED and how to apply”.  All are welcome!  Food and refreshments will be served.  Room and specific time to be announced.    

As part of the October 24 meeting, AED will be making and decorating Halloween bags for children at a local refugee center following a presentation by a guest speaker.

Why: To make Buffalo a better place.

Help cleanup South Campus and the surrounding Buffalo area by coming out with your club and participate in this fun and fulfilling community service event.  If you are interested in volunteering through APMS, contact Jennifer Stabel at jstabel@buffalo.edu before September 20.  For AED, please contact Katie Brewer at kbrewer@buffalo.edu

Please go to the Career Services website under “Events” for more information about “Health Related Resumania” Event on Monday, September 24 from 11:00-3:00 in 105 Harriman Hall (South Campus).  Get your resume in shape!  Be ready for the Health Related Career Fair on Monday, October 1 from 11:00-2:00 in 105 Harriman Hall (South Campus). Bring several copies of your resume.  Discuss job opportunities with over 40 health related employers; network with recruiters from a variety of disciplines. All students interested in the health field are welcome!
