Please be informed that the School of Dental Medicine has announced the following changes in relation to their Early Assurance Program effective from this point forward:
Early Assurance (EA)
Applicants need at least a 3.3 overall and BCP (biology, chemistry, physics) GPA to apply. If accepted into the EA program, a 3.7 is needed for the BCP and overall GPA to continue in the program. DAT scores must be 20 Academic Average (AA), 20 Perceptual Ability (PAT), and 20 Reading Comprehension.

If you are interested in the Early Assurance Program at the School of Dental Medicine, please click on the link for the latest requirements as the website has been recently revised for 2008. Please recall that only second semester sophomores can apply to this program.
Please note that the deadline for applying to the formal program at the School of Dental Medicine is June 1, 2008. If you have questions after reviewing the site noted above, please schedule an appointment with one of the prehealth advisors by calling 645-6013.
Effective February 21, both Dalene Aylward and Libby Morsheimer in the Office of Prehealth Advising Services will be advising students intended toward Early Assurance programs (medical and dental) or for information pertaining to the Combined BS/DDS Program.
Please remember that students can set an appointment by calling 645-6013 or by stopping by the main office in 109 Norton Hall.
IMPORTANT: Changes to Early Assurance Program – UB School of Dental Medicine
If you review the website site detailing the Early Assurance Program at UB’s School of Dental medicine, you will see that the required GPA is now a 3.5 overall and in the sciences (biology, chemistry, physics) and there is a required score of 20 on the Academic Average portion of the DAT exam. Previously the required GPA was 3.3 and the requisite Academic Average score was 19.
