Hi everyone!
I have tons of announcements, and I’m sorry if this is really long, but I want everyone to have as many opportunities as possible to volunteer.

2) Diabetes Walk at Coca-Cola Field on October 17th. Please e-mail lburkard@buffalo.edu for more info.
3) We still need more people to work Bills Games! We get paid by the number of people we supply for each game. And then at the end of the year we get a “bonus” according to our profit. We also get a free meal voucher for each person at every game and free parking. We have to have every member who can work go to the orientation October 21st from 6-9pm at Bills Stadium. There are 4 home games remaining we would have to commit to. All of the remaining games are 1:00 games, so we would have to work 10am-5pm for each game:
*November 1st
*November 29th
*December 20th
*January 3rd
You can work whichever games you are able and if you want to have friends do it with you, they’re more than welcome! We are working with AED and Pre-Dental to do this, so friends from those clubs are welcome too! Also, if you go to the orientation and work at least 2 games, you will be able to attend our CPR certification course for FREE in the spring.

As we did last year, we will be conducting an auction for a free Kaplan course. We are still looking for the easiest way to do this. This year we will be using Facebook. If you are interested in the auction sign up for the group Alpha Epsilon Delta Kaplan Auction. Directions on how the bidding will work is on the group site. If any of you who are interested in bidding but are prefer not to use Facebook let me know through email and we will work it out. The official start of the auction will be Monday October 12 at 9:00AM. The end will be November 2 at 5:00PM. Make sure no bids are on the wall of the group!!! Only by direct message to Justin Lobello.

CO-SIGN is UB’s College Student Interest Group in Neurology academic club. The mission of the club is to stimulate interest and support students interested in behavioral neuroscience and clinical neurology.
CO-SIGN holds bi-weekly meetings in Park 366 and plans to make it a habit to discuss “news and views” and interesting articles from neurology and neuroscience journals, offer students many research opportunities, provide important information and advising based on member experience, as well as opportunities to shadow physicians.
They also participate in various community service events and those offered by the Student Association.
The UB CO-SIGN website is here .
CO-SIGN is part of a national group - the American Academy of Neurology (AAN) .
The mission of SIGN and CO-SIGN is to foster student interest in neurology by providing opportunities for students to participate in clinical, research, and service activities in neurology; to increase the student’s neurologic knowledge; and to create an interest in the AAN.
CO-SIGN will be holding their general meeting at 366 Park Hall, THIS Thursday October 8, at 7:00pm. The E-Board will introduce CO-SIGN and discuss upcoming events, volunteering, shadowing opportunities, and get acquainted with each other. There will be Wegmans pizza and refreshments.
CO-SIGN is meant to stimulate interest in neurology and behavioral neuroscience, so anyone with the slightest hint of interest is very welcome to join us this Thursday.

If you plan on entering, please make sure you will have the $950 available within 2 weeks of the meeting. We will also be watching a movie about the life of a medical school student, which is really great. I will also be announcing a lot of new volunteer opportunities at this meeting.
2) There is an orientation for the Bills games tomorrow from 10am-2pm at Ralph Wilson Stadium. If anyone else wants to sign up to help us out with some of the remaining home games, please let me know. We really need to fundraise in order to be able to do everything we do in a year.
3) Anyone who is still interested in volunteering for the Walk to Fight Diabetes on Saturday, October 17th we are needed for registration from 8am to 10am. Dear AED Members,
We are still accepting people who would like to mentor or be mentored. This is a great program for freshmen and sophomores to benefit from.
Upper classmen basically give advice to the younger classmen in ways that they can make their professional school applications stronger. Email me with your name, year, major, and field of interest (dental, surgery, etc.).

If you have put in an application for shadowing in the Emergency Room and have not yet heard back from me, Becca Roach (rroach@buffalo.edu), you need to re-fill out an application and submit it either on-line or to Norton 108. We have been experiencing some technical difficulties with the applications and we want to make sure that everyone that is interested in shadowing in the ER has an opportunity to do so. Thank you very much and sorry for any inconvenience.
Thanks again,
Becca Roach
APMS Shadowing Coordinator
Also, I have to let the Bills staff know by tomorrow about working the games.
So, anyone who wants to or already has signed up, let me know which orientation you can do and which games you can work. Thanks so much!

2) We have to have every member who would work any number of games go to the orientation. There are two available-Sept 30th 6-10pm or Oct 3rd 10-2pm.
3) There are 5 home games remaining we would have to commit to. Also, if god intervenes and the Bill’s make the playoffs, we do have to still work those games.
4) All of the remaining games are 1:00 games, so we would have to work 10am-5pm for each game.
Here are the remaining games:
