Offering clinical experience in general medicine and public health.  This program begins in Santo Domingo and travels through Las Matas de Farfan (Communities: Alto de los Copeyes and Villa del Carmen) Students have the opportunity to help those in need, gain valuable experience and discover the beginning of the America’s all in one location.

They are also looking for students interested in becoming Campus Representatives for ISL.  This is an excellent way to reduce their cost for the trip.  Anyone interested in reducing their cost in this way please contact Kyle Winston at kyle@ISLonline.org or Pepper Tucker at pepper@ISLonline.org .

They still have spaces available for September and December.

Our 2008-2009 Schedule is available on our website. Just click on Team Schedule.  Teams are scheduled throughout the year.

Students help serve these teams; they estimate they’ll be serving approximately 35,000 of the underserved with varying levels of health care.

ISL sends medical/dent/opt/public health/PT/vet/pharmaceutical teams to countries in Latin America, Central America, and Africa.  We include pre-health students on our teams as a way of preparing the next generation of international medical caregivers.  Students receive supervised hands-on experience, health related seminars, and financial sponsorship.

Listings of university, professional, and student references available upon request.  Over a 14 year period we’ve fielded over three hundred teams and annually provide health care for 15,000 of the underserved.
