Summer Research Positions in Ontario

The Department of Medical Biophysics at the University of Toronto is currently recruiting undergraduate students to fill a number of summer student research positions that are available at the Ontario Cancer Institute, Sunnybrook & Women’s College Health Sciences Centre and the University of Toronto.

For students who are considering a career in interdisciplinary medical research, these positions provide a great opportunity to experience the research environment first-hand. Students will be involved in an on-going research project, trained in the proper use of laboratory equipment and introduced to a number of laboratory techniques. The summer student positions are available for up to 4 months beginning in May of 2006. Students are paid at a minimum rate of approximately $1600/month.

At the end of the program, students are required to present a poster at the Summer Student Poster Day. Certificates and prizes will be awarded to the top posters.

The deadline for submitting a complete application is Monday, January 15, 2007. All applications must be submitted online. We will not accept paper applications. Please note that the application is a competitive process, and only a limited number of positions are available. Applications are reviewed by our faculty and only the best applicants will be contacted directly to set up an interview. If you are interested in applying to this Summer Student Program, please access the online application here.

Sincerely,
