Spotlight on the Weekly Themes
Be sure to check out our Spotlight tab on Ning! Here you will be able to access background information on the weekly theme, learn more about opportunities to be involved in clubs and organizations related to the weekly theme, and learn about related majors at UB. Every week we will update the site with information on the upcoming theme, so be sure to stop back often for new opportunities!
The Undergraduate Academies will host a workshop dedicated to enhancing your interviewing skills. Keying into what employers are looking for and avoiding any missteps will be the focus of this workshop. Career Services will present the workshop in the Academies learning lab (17 Norton) and all students are welcome.

MOVIE AND DISCUSSION @ PUSH PEOPLE UNITED FOR SUSTAINABLE HOUSING

The Academies will travel to 271 Grant Street and join the Buffalo community for a public viewing of the movie “This is What Democracy Looks Like.”
Following the Movie the PUSH staff will lead a discussion that engages the audience and relates key issues in the movie to our community.

His Excellency Pierre Vimont, Ambassador of France to the United States, will be visiting the University at Buffalo (UB) on Wednesday, April 8, 2009. This is only the second time that a sitting French Ambassador has visited Buffalo. Ambassador Vimont will be accompanied by Ambassador Guy Yelda, the new Consul General of France to New York, and Dr. Pascal Delisle, Cultural Attaché and Director of the University Partnership Fund at the Embassy. This is truly a landmark event in the long history of France’s involvement in the Western New York and Niagara Region. We are most grateful to Pascal Soares, Honorary Consul of France in Buffalo, for making this visit possible.
You are cordially invited to attend Ambassador Vimont’s public lecture at UB titled “The United States and France and the Renewal of Transatlantic Relations,” which will be delivered at the Drama Theatre, Center for the Arts (CFA), UB North Campus on April 8 at 3:00 pm. A question and answer period will follow. You are also welcome to join the reception for our French guests immediately following the lecture in the CFA Atrium.
