Attention Pre-Vet Students – Vet Assistant Position Available
A part-time position is available for a Veterinary Assistant. Duties include holding animals for medical examinations and minor procedures (blood draws, vaccinations), cage/kennel cleaning and set up, general hospital cleaning (exam rooms, reception, surgical areas), providing assistance to the doctor during surgical (dental, radiographic) procedures, inventory stocking and filling prescriptions, and client interactions (answering telephone and making appointments as needed, checking animals into/out of the hospital). Employment to begin as early as mid-May.
Previous experience in animal care/veterinary care is a plus but not required. Applicant must have their own reliable transportation to and from the Clarence/East Amherst area. Applicant must be available some weekday mornings and at least alternating Saturday mornings.
