If you are interested in learning more about osteopathic (DO) medicine, please strongly consider attending “DO Day” at Sisters of Charity Hospital.  Please see an outline of the agenda below.  Representatives from both the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) and the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine (NYITCOM) will be presenting and available after to answer your questions.  You must RSVP for this eventPlease email Carl Lam at carllam@buffalo.edu by 12:00 p.m. Friday, October 7 if you wish to attend. There are a *limited* number of spots. Once your RSVP is confirmed, we will forward parking information to you.

2:00 pm

20-30 minutes – Presentation by faculty/residents from the Osteopathic Training Program at Sisters

  • Mission/History/Overview of Sisters of Charity Hospital/Training Program
  • Discussion of Residency Pathways

30 minutes – Breakout Session: Small Group Demonstration of OMT by interns/residents

3:00 pm Introduction of LECOM and NYITCOM representatives

15 minutes NYITCOM

15 minutes LECOM

Presentation by medical school representative

30 minutes Q&A to LECOM and NYITCOM residents/representatives

Focus on: Curriculum and Training Programs
